This Code serves as a benchmark for best practices, procedures, and information dissemination in the home-building industry.
The Consumer Code Aims To:
- Receive fair and equitable treatment throughout your buying process
- Are well-informed about the service levels you can anticipate
- Obtain accurate and reliable information to guide your decisions
- Have access to efficient, cost-effective dispute resolution mechanisms should any issues arise
In the rare event that a Home Builder is found to be in serious violation of these guidelines, Home Warranty Bodies have the authority to impose various sanctions. These can range from removal from their register to exclusion from registers maintained by other participating Home Warranty Bodies.
